WHEN TO SEE YOUR DOCTOR
1. GO TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM
-for severe, localized pain or large open wounds, difficulty breathing, sudden numbness or weakness, severe headaches and head injuries, and inability to speak, see or move.
2. IF YOU’VE HAD A FEVER FOR OVER 3 DAYS OR IF IT’S ABOVE 103 F/ 39 C
-we want to see you, book an appointment online/call to see your doctor
3. IF YOU’VE HAD A HEAD INJURY
-with dizziness, nausea or a sensitivity to light or noise book an appointment online/call to see your doctor
-or if you have mood swings, confusion or trouble sleeping after your injury we want to see you
4. CHANGES IN YOUR DIGESTIVE HEALTH AND URINARY HABITS
-if you frequently feel heartburn or nausea, have difficulty swallowing or experience hoarseness that doesn’t go away book an appointment online to see your doctor
-if you experience black tar coloured stools, diarrhea for more than 3 days or unexplained urges to use the bathroom we want to see you
5. IF YOU’VE HAD UNEXPLAINED WEIGHT LOSS
-book an appointment online with your doctor
6. IF YOU’VE HAD UNEXPLAINED CHANGES IN YOUR MENSES
-or have unexplained postmenopausal bleeding book an appointment online to see your doctor
7. IF YOUR SYMPTOMS DON’T IMPROVE IN 1-2 WEEKS
-we want to see you but your body can heal itself of most minor aliments with rest and proper nutrition
We also want to see you for:
* recommended follow ups your doctor has requested
* routine screening for cancer and common diseases
* new symptoms after starting medication
*contact us with your family’s medical history changes

Urgent Appointments
If you need an urgent appointment, CALL THE OFFICE. Our phone lines are open:
- Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm
- Wednesday and Friday 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
Your assistance to quickly and effectively answer your call is appreciated. When you call to book an appointment, please have your calendar available. To book sufficient time for your appointment, our staff will ask the reason for the visit.
Non-Urgent Appointments
If you need a non-urgent appointment, you can book it online. Please be reminded that masks continue to be mandatory in our office if you have a respiratory infection.
